A culinary arts graduate, born and raised in Southern California. Growing up between the border towns of San Diego and Tijuana, Viviana has soaked the best of two countries through technique, flavor, and culture.
Getting her start as part of celebrity Chef Marcela Valladolid’s team Viviana was exposed to the intricacies of food production, food editing, and styling.
In 2015, Viviana made it as a finalist on Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen and launched her first series of video blogs where she taught her viewers how to make authentic Mexican recipes as well as healthy California style easy to make dishes.
In early 2016 she packed her bags and landed a job in New York with celebrity Chef Geoffrey Zakarian, where she learned the ins and outs of restaurant operations, marketing, and events.
Vivi, as everyone calls her, has just launched her own catering business in New York, where she will continue to build her brand by staying true to her roots, and cooking the most exquisite and authentic Mexican dishes in the east coast.
